Small. Friendly. Inclusive.
We are people who have over a decade of experience in personally travelling in this beautiful continent, and so we are in the know and can confidently recommend the right tour for you based on your interests and wish lists.
Whether it’s tracking wildlife wildlife on foot in Botswana , or exploring Cape Town and it's surrounding vineyards, you can travel with confidence.
Imagining sharing stories around the fire, in the African bush, under the stars, creating meaningful memories and making new friends.
With a maximum of 10 travellers, you’ll enjoy a more personal, immersive journey—and form connections that last long after the adventure ends.
What Makes Us Different?
We are not an online booking platform , we want to talk to our clients to ensure that we understand what's important for them, so that we can ensure they are making the right decisions are choices of the trip they may take, and the group they might like to join.
The start of your journey is only a phone call away, and you will have an option to meet those that will be travelling in your group ahead of the departure date as part of our efforts to build a travel community.
Meet Your Tribe Ahead of Travel
Whether you have already booked, or are thinking of booking; we welcome you to join our 'AWT Meet the Tribe' Social Events. We know it's a big deal, choosing who you spend special trips with. And so, we will be hosting a few optional social touchpoints in the run‑up to the our tours , including:
Coffee meet‑ups for anyone local who’d like to say hello in person.
Welcome‑to‑the‑group evenings — a relaxed, friendly gathering , and a lovely way to break the ice .
Online “get to know you” sessions for those who prefer to join from home.
The AWT WhatsApp Group, where you can chat, ask questions, share excitement, and stay connected.
Please keep an eye on this page for newsletter sign‑ups and for the dates of our upcoming online and in‑person events. These sessions will provide an overview of each tour and give you the chance to ask questions, helping you feel fully informed as you consider joining one of our journeys. Some events may be attended by our partners in Africa, who will be invited along to showcase their experiences.
We look forward to welcoming you into the tribe.
